I made this photo while flying in a Delta Airlines MD-88 between St. Louis and Atlanta on February 8, 2003. We took off in the early morning darkness but by the time we were approaching Atlanta the sun was coming up. This photo was taken looking west about 38 minutes before landing, at a camera time of 06:31CST (07:31EST)


My first photo of the Belt of Venus since starting this list was made on 1 September 2010.
The sun was still a few minutes from rising and this is about as vivid as the Belt got today.
