Third segment of this trip was a nearly-free add on. I'd been wanting to fly a Singapore Airlines 787-10 and I used this trip as an excuse to do it. There was a perfectly-timed connection at Singapore for a 787-10 flight to Perth, Western Australia, so I booked that flight when I made these reservations. I'd be spending just enough time in Perth I'd be able to get out and do some birding somewhere...I just had to research where would be a good place to go.
Our arrival in Singapore was actually ahead of schedule so it nicely padded my connection time by a half hour or more. Gave me some extra time to hit he restroom and change clothes for the 4-hour evening flight down to Perth.
