I had a resonably easy time getting from Terminal 2 to Terminal 4 and through TSA. They opened my carry-on to check my power inverter and my 1/400 scale Hawaiian 767-300 model because to them the wings appeared to resemble an open pocket knife. Guess they can't be too careful.

Like I said on the page before, the weather in Los Angeles this day was superb, although watching planes through glass wasn't a bad way to spend the day.

I got good looks at many planes today, including some "lifers" like Air China 787-9 and Sichuan Airlines A330-200. Air Canada is operating 787-9s to LAX now and I got one of those, too.

After a great day of watching planes from the Tom Bradley International Terminal, it was time to head over to Terminal 6 for my American Airlines flight to PHX. For the transfer from T4 I chose the airside shuttle bus. Turned out to be an interesting experience as we first visited the American Eagle ramp before stopping at T6. (In reality I was directed to board the wrong bus at T4 and when I made my concerns known before we even got to American Eagle the driver agreed to make a stop at T6 on the way back to T4.) Because of all this I got a nice ride in the bus along some of the roadways airside at LAX.

Below is my photo of N169UW at the LAX gate prior to my flight to PHX. This photo is from the open-air 'porch' before entering the terminal through the doorway. Below that is the FlightAware screenshot of the flight.
