My first Trans-Atlantic flight was TWA 704 from JFK to London Heathrow. We had a technical delay at Kennedy for an oil pump but all went well after that.
Some guys from my unit met me at Heathrow and I enjoyed the ride to Alconbury. By the 5th of January I was back at Heathrow watching planes.
