A short trip on American Airlines to visit the last three U.S. states I've never visited before: South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana. I'm flying round drip PHX-DFW-RAP and using Rapid City as a base to drive to ND and MT and do some late fall sightseeing in the Black Hills area.
Below is my photo of N783AN at PHX prior to departing for Dallas. Widebodies at AA gates in PHX are notoriously hard to photograph from inside the terminal and N783AN was no exception. The only way I could verify the tail number of this plane before boarding was the fleet number '7AP' on the nose gear door...that ties up to N783AN.
