My third flight of 2020 is the also part of the whole reason for this two-day trip. In my quest to fly aboard an Alaska Airlines A321neo in full paint I booked two back-to-back transcon flights.

That way in case the SFO-DCA flight was in More To Love paint, I'd have a chance at a full paint on the next flight. Well, with a flight on N928VA yesterday, I fulfilled the goal of the trip. So it really didn't matter that this flight from DCA to SEA would operate with a More To Love plane. At least it was the other More To Love plane...the one I hadn't flown in yet.

After a nice night in a hotel close to the airport I was again up quite early to get ready. The airport shuttle brought me to the terminal with plenty of time for my flight. I got a bagel and with a very short line at security I was airside within a few minutes of arriving at DCA.

Like SFO-DCA, my flight was departing 8am so there was a plane at the gate. I wandered the concourse and grabbed some photos of the parked planes. Not super photogenic but I enjoy practicing my night-time exposures.

After the Delta flight occupying Gate 18 and the United flight at Gate 16 departed it was just a short wait until N927VA was towed to gate 18. Thankfully nothing had pulled into Gate 16 yet so I had a clear view of More To Love.

Below is my photo of N927VA being towed to Gate 18 for my flight to SEA.
