After a fairly restful night and delicious continental breakfast in a hotel near the Bucharest Airport I caught the shuttle bus back to the airport to check in for my flight to London. I arrived several hours early and before long I was wandering the modest departure concourse. Apparently Bucharest is a fairly popular destination as evidenced by the planes I saw during my hours waiting for departure. Blue Air is a competitor to Tarom and I saw 737-400. 737-500, and 737-800. Photo taking was minimal as I didn't want any problems with the authorities. Apparently one can photograph, with permission, from a specified location outside the airport and many YouTube videos exist of arrivals and departures from that spot. I was a little leery about snapping photos so I just watched planes. I did manage a photo of YR-ASA (my plane from the night before) taxiing out but that was the only plane I photographed. Other airlines seen were: British Airways, Qatar Airways, WizzAir, Lufthansa, Austrian, El Al, Ryanair, an Aeroflot Sukhoi Superjet :-) among a few others. Skies were clear and my east-facing window revealed many flights throwing contrails from the southeast. I wish I'd been able to take a lot more photos.

Once onboard for an ontime departure we were advised we'd be delayed at the gate for an hour due to weather conditions in London. Apparently Storm Doris was sweeping through the British Isles and wreaking havoc on the air traffic system. Thankfully we eventually pushed and were headed towards London.

Below is my photo of YR-ASC at the gate next to us and below that is my photo of the reflection of my plane YR-ASB while pushing back.

My photo of chicken, vegetable and rice meal enroute to London Heathrow. Same meal as yesterday eastbound save for the different drink.

After a nice flight and some time in the holding pattern east of London we were soon on a very bumpy final approach for Heathrow. Touchdown was followed by many hands clapping from the passengers. It was quite bumpy during approach but I never felt like we were in any danger.

Below is my photo of YR-ASB at Heathrow after deplaning and passing through customs and immigration. Royal Brunei 787-8 V8-DLB operating BI 98 London-Dubai-Brunei is preparing for departure.
The photo was taken from outside of Terminal 4 on the departures level through a fence.
Thanks Tarom for a couple of nice, memorable flights aboard the "Baby Bus"!!
