After our reasonably speedy journey across the Pacific we made it through immigration pretty quickly. Wanting to do some birding, we caught a shuttle bus to the Marriott Hotel near Bayfront Park. Temps outside were in the 40s but we were semi-prepared for it. Timing was perfect as the tide was out and there were thousands of birds feeding on the mudflats.
A mostly-cloudy sky made photography of birds and planes somewhat challenging but we did have periods of some sunshine breaking through.
Around noon it was time to head back to the terminal and get through security and wait for our 345pm flight to Phoenix. We got a bite to eat and watched some planes. I tracked our inbound flight on my phone and got a poorly-lit photo of N579UW pulling into gate 75. Below that is the FlightAware screenshot of the flight to PHX.
