After several hours in the terminal it was time to head back to Denver for the evening. Mickey The Moose showed up on time from San Franicsco and we systematically boarded. I was first down the jetbridge and found my seat: 4A. While at the gate this gave me a good look to the north. North runway was still closed so there was not much going on airplane-wise to see.
Departure time came and went and a curious thing happened: two uniformed pilots who were seated in the rear of the plane came forward and entered the cockpit. A little while later an announcement was made that we were being delayed for a bit because we were waiting for crew to show up from an inbound Frontier flight and they needed to get to Denver also. The announcement also mentioned the pilots in the cockpit were swapping with the pilots coming in from the other flight and we'd be on our way as soon as they showed up.
Eventually all was right and we were on our way to Denver...with fading sunlight behind us...an hour later than expected. We made it to Denver just after sundown and in reality only about 20 minutes later than the scheduled arrival time.
