After the TDY in Savannah, I took Amtrak to Providence to visit Dad. From there I flew back home to Phoenix via Denver on Southwest.

Following my flight from Providence, I had four hours in Denver to watch planes. As "my" -800 approached the gate in Denver, the agent announced the flight was slightly overbooked and asked for volunteers. Being the end of a loooong trip, I passed up the opportunity to capitalize on the offer. We were a bit further delayed in the boarding process due to the inbound cabin crew coming in on a flight on Concourse C. Made no difference to me...I just continued watching planes until it was time to board.
