I spent all day Saturday 18 August 1979 plane watching from the terminals at MIA. As I recall, I spent a lot of time in whatever concourse Continental Airlines operated from as that seemed to offer a very good view of arriving and taxying traffic.
After a full day at MIA, I boarded an Eastern DC-9-30 to commence my return trip home.
